Danyal Malik

Bio

Danyal Malik is a Trainee Solicitor within the firm’s Criminal Defence Department. He has experience assisting in a wide range of criminal matters, including fraud, Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) proceedings, serious drug offences, violent offences, and allegations of ABH and GBH. Through his involvement in these matters, Danyal has developed a strong understanding of criminal litigation, evidential analysis, and court procedure.

Danyal plays an active role in preparing cases at every stage of the criminal justice process. His work includes analysing prosecution evidence and unused material, undertaking detailed legal research, drafting legal documents, preparing briefs to counsel, attending court, and assisting with the preparation of cases for trial. His careful and methodical approach ensures that each case is thoroughly prepared and progressed effectively.

Danyal also represents clients at the police station in connection with a wide range of offences. He provides clear and practical legal advice, safeguards his clients’ rights, and ensures they are properly advised and supported throughout the investigation and interview process.

Client care is central to Danyal’s approach. He understands that criminal proceedings can be stressful and uncertain for both clients and their families. He therefore ensures that clients are kept informed throughout their case, providing clear and practical advice regarding the allegations, court procedure, potential outcomes, and next steps. He is approachable, professional, and committed to ensuring that every client feels supported and properly represented.

Danyal is currently undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) as part of his route to qualification as a solicitor.
